Lymphatic Massage
The Lymph system is a body of network that has duct, organ, and nodes. The fluid transport system runs parallel to the veins. It is also an integral part of our immune system. A lymph is a mixture of mostly alkaline liquid, carrying proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, enzymes, mineral, hormones, toxins, bacteria and body waste, etc. to filter and purify the body through organs of elimination.
A lymphatic massage is used to reroute the lymph flow around blocked areas in healthy lymph vessels which can then drain into the circulatory system. This massage is a very gentle treatment that improves the function of the lymphatic system. It is becoming widely recognized today as a treatment for many pathologies including, post surgical swelling, post edema (sports injuries), headaches, rheumatoid arthritis, and fibromyalgia. In general it is a great cleansing or detoxification for the skin.
